Trail and Conservation Planning

The West Central Mountains Recreation and Conservation Community Advisory Team (CAT) exists as a central coordination point for recreation and trails planning across the region. Under the guidance of the National Park Service RTCA technical assistance team, we have assembled a lean and efficient working group who meets twice per year to fortify trails and conservation planning best practices, elevate funding opportunities, expand trail miles, and identify creative coordination opportunities between and among participants.

Below you will find this team’s founding MOU, a regional trail planning map that integrates the plans of all members of the team, and the participants in this group. The University of Idaho Valley County Extension office will be the convener of this group starting mid-2021, with assistance from various team members.
