    • Will need to have additional discussions with McCall and other stakeholders

  • Payette River Scenic Byway financial arrangement with VCEDC
    • Bill moved to have Cynda draft an agreement to be reviewed and approved at a later date. Seconded, APPROVED.
  • Payette River Basin Water Trails
    • Website is up and running (merged with scenic byway site)
    • Offers brochures on 10 different water trails
    • Secures access to waterways
    • Interactive story maps available–built by US Parks Service
    • Presents marketing opportunity
    • Bob: Does it duplicate resources/efforts with the private sector?
    • Motion by Cynda to bring Payette River Basin Water Trails under VCEDC, limited to the West Central Mountains on a “placeholder” temporary basis until a permanent home can be found. Seconded by Rob, APPROVED
  • Bylaws for West Central Mountains Housing Trust
    • Have been approved and adopted by the Housing Trust
    • Don: new members have been appointed, document may be out of date
    • VCEDC would like confirmation that tax exempt status has been achieved
    • Request that the signatures be corrected and this item will be moved to next month’s meeting for approval
  • Geothermal
    • Hire of an intern was not approved
  • Open Board positions to be reviewed next month

    • Tom Moore (guest) thanked the Council for allowing him to attend
    • Scotty: check out the new artwork in Cascade
    • Next August 17th, a solar eclipse will occur directly over Smiths Ferry
    • Note to communities: Operation Facelift is September 17th
      • Repaint doors, clean up facade, sidewalks, etc.
    • Andrew will look into starting a new VCEDC facebook page
    • Next meeting October 6th in Cascade
