  • Statewide Incentives through Idaho Commerce
  • Non-Retail Commercial Property Tax Exemption: With a public hearing, some developments can be considered on a discretionary basis for a property tax exemption for up to 5 years. This allows Valley County the opportunity to incentivize critical or needed developments (like multi-family housing or development in vital sectors). These exemptions must go through a public hearing process and are not guaranteed.
  • Other Property Tax Relief
  • Opportunity Zones: If an investor mobilizes funds subject to capital gains into a designated Opportunity Zone, they can defer or alleviate their capital gains burden partially or entirely, depending on the length of the investment.
